Why is the connection between the groomer and the dog so important? Why do I love grabbing these pictures when our grooming trainee Lauren isn't paying attention? It shows how much love, and raw emotion our groomers feel for each and every dog we have.
Dogs get stressed out when they come to us sometimes. Maybe this is a new place, we are new people, they have previous experiences in their past that leave them scared and nervous. We see dogs that are excited and ready, they know exactly what they are here to do. Other dogs...not so much.
This dog was nervous, he has had surgery on a back leg a few months ago. Lauren has taken the time to connect with the dog, make him feel more comfortable and safe with us here.
Taking the time to connect with the dog on a personal level, building the trust with the dog, and making it known you are here to help them and clean them up is a big part of working here at Melissa's Pet Services. We want each and every dog here to feel the love and closeness with all our staff. We are a team, with you, your dogs(s), and us.
Together we create the best environment we can to make sure your pet is happy, safe, and cared for.
